Neon Drift ("the game," "we," "us") is an arcade game with optional online leaderboards, social features, and cosmetic purchases. This page explains what information the game collects, how it's used, and what choices you have.
When you set a callsign (username) and play, the game may collect and store:
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, or photos. Neon Drift does not currently display any ads; if optional rewarded ads are introduced (see Advertising below) they will be non-personalized, and we will not use advertising identifiers to build a profile of you or track you across other apps.
Callsigns, scores, and related stats are used solely to operate the game's features — showing rankings, daily challenge results, podium history, multiplayer matches, and restoring your progress and purchases across devices. Your callsign, scores, and related game data are not used to personalize ads or to build a profile of you, and are never sold to third parties.
Online game data is stored using Supabase, a third-party database hosting provider. Local game settings and progress are stored only on your own device and are never transmitted except when directly relevant to a game feature (leaderboard submissions, multiplayer matches, account linking, purchases, or progress backup as described on this page).
Neon Drift offers optional cosmetic purchases (individual skins, combo packs and a Supporter Pack). All payments are processed entirely by Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS) — we never receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or other payment information. To deliver what you bought and keep it restorable on your other devices, we store a record of each purchase (the product purchased, and a purchase token or transaction identifier issued by Google Play or Apple) associated with your linked account identifier. We verify purchases and check for refunds directly with Google Play or Apple; if a purchase is refunded, the associated content is removed from your account.
On Android, purchases require a linked account (see below) so they can be restored if you switch devices or reinstall the game. On iOS, you can buy without signing in — the App Store ties the purchase to your Apple ID, and the content unlocks on that device. If you later sign in, tapping Restore Purchases attaches those purchases to your account so they carry to your other devices.
Neon Drift does not currently show any ads. We intend to offer optional rewarded ads provided by Google AdSense (H5 Games Ads), and this section describes how they will work when they are enabled. They will appear only when you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game benefit — for example, one extra Daily Challenge attempt — and will never be forced or shown during normal play. We request non-personalized ads, meaning ads are based on general context rather than a profile built from your activity, and we do not use advertising identifiers to track you across other apps. To serve, limit the frequency of, and measure these ads and to detect fraud or abuse, Google may process limited data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Neon Drift is intended for players aged 13 and older.
The home page of this website embeds the Neon Drift trailer from YouTube. The embed uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and is loaded lazily, so no YouTube cookie is set and no viewing data is sent simply because you visited the page. If you press play, YouTube receives your IP address and basic device information and may set cookies in order to play the video and count the view, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. The game itself contains no embedded video.
All-time and Storm leaderboard entries are retained indefinitely, tied to your chosen callsign, so your best score can be displayed and updated over time. Daily Challenge leaderboard entries older than 60 days are automatically deleted on a routine basis. Multiplayer match history and win records are retained as point-in-time records. Purchase records are retained while your entitlement to the purchased content remains active.
Neon Drift offers an optional feature that lets you link your chosen callsign to your account, using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple (iOS). This is intended to:
This feature is optional — the game continues to work with a self-chosen callsign alone if you prefer not to link an account, though social features won't be available. If you choose to link your account, we store a unique identifier provided by Google Sign-In or by Sign in with Apple, associated with your callsign. We do not access your real name, email address, contacts, or other account data from either provider beyond what's needed for this verification, and Sign in with Apple lets you hide your email address from us entirely.
If you rename a linked callsign, your leaderboard history (All-Time, Daily, and Storm) is moved to the new name as part of that process.
If you use the optional Friends feature, we store the friend relationships between linked accounts (requests sent, accepted, and declined) so friends lists, friend leaderboards, and friend-only game modes work. Removing a friend deletes that relationship record.
If you choose to enable push notifications (for friend requests, challenge invitations, and match results), we store a device push token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging, associated with your linked account. This token identifies your device for message delivery only. It is deleted when you turn notifications off in the game's settings, and tokens that permanently stop working (for example, after an uninstall) are removed automatically.
You can play without linking any account. You can turn push notifications off at any time in Settings. If you'd like your data removed, linked accounts can delete all their data instantly in-game (Settings → Profile → Danger Zone → Delete My Data) — see our data deletion page for details and for the email process, or contact us using the information below. If you haven't linked an account, your callsign is self-chosen and not tied to any verified identity, so we may be unable to confirm ownership of a specific callsign, but we'll do our best to assist.
Neon Drift is intended for a general audience and is not directed specifically at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time as the game evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
